Beautifully situated amid the rolling plains and sweeping mountains of west Iceland, the Fosshotel Bifrost is in the heart of Saga country. This rural summer hotel located just off the main Ring road is a natural choice for hikers, hillwalkers or horse riders. The Fosshotel Bifrost is situated in the middle of a lava field which is overgrown with green moss. Among the many attractions within easy reach are the magnificent Snaefellsness peninsula and its snow-capped glacier, historic Reykholt, and several of the country´s finest trout and salmon rivers. The Grabrok Volcano is 300 meters away and some kilometers from the hotel is the magnificent Deiltartunguhver Hot Spring. Scheduled buses going to north and south Iceland pass by the hotel several times a day, making the hotel a convenient location with connections to some of Iceland's scenic and polar sights.
The Fosshotel Bifrost has a very nice bar, great for relaxation in the evenings. Two outdoor hot tubs, one with Jacuzzi, also help take away the weariness of the day. A friendly and well-trained staff will make your stay enjoyable. The guest rooms have two beds each, a work area and private bathroom with shower. The hotel has an onsite restaurant offering a la carte lunch and dinner menus for individuals and groups.
